Early Childhood Programs

Welcome to Early Childhood!

Linn-Mar offers three early childhood programs to support young learners: Preschool, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten. Each program is designed to meet different age and developmental needs. The chart below shows the main differences between these programs to help you choose the right one for your child.

Before & After Daycare Onsite daycare is not available at this time. However, we are gathering interest in wrap-around care at Linn Grove. Please contact local childcare businesses for availability. Transportation District transportation is not available. Please contact area daycares for transportation availability. District transportation is available. Students must live at least two miles away from their school to qualify for bus transportation. District transportation is available. Enrollment Process Lottery system open in February and placement is determined in March.

All required documents must be turned in by the designated time in order to hold your child’s spot.

Due to the volume of interest in preschool, not all children who apply will be placed.

Register your child for Kindergarten online through PowerSchool.

Attend the Kindergarten Enrollment Fair in March to learn about JK and Kindergarten.

Not all students will be given a placement in JK as students are screened and only placed if their score qualifies. A year in JK is considered a year of retention.

All students who register are guaranteed a Kindergarten placement.

All documents are required by August.
