I have been asked, “How would you describe what Linn-Mar High School is like?” I always answer this question by stating that the Linn-Mar community has high expectations for learning, performance, and behavior.

Within the high school, we have a large population, made up of students from many different backgrounds and interests, which provides us with a great opportunity to understand and interact with one another in a safe and collaborative school environment. Approximately, eighty-five percent of our students are involved in our many activities, and we take great pride in providing many different opportunities for our students.

We keep growing, yet strive to maintain the values of participation and excellence for all students. Our staff is student-centered with a focus on continuous growth and improvement. Our role is to help students create opportunities for themselves when they graduate from LMHS. High school is about the next step. We want our students to understand what post-secondary opportunities may exist, explore these possibilities, and prepare themselves for these opportunities by striving academically, engaging as a citizen, and being an active student.
