Welcome to Excelsior Middle School! We look forward to working with you as we continue our tradition of excellence. As one of two middle schools in the Linn-Mar Community School District, Excelsior has been offering a variety of educational and extracurricular opportunities for students in grades 6, 7 and 8 in the Marion and Cedar Rapids area since 1999. With the addition of two intermediate buildings in 2020, Excelsior is now currently serving students in 7th and 8th Grade.

With an enrollment of around 650 students, Excelsior is a PBIS school built on Responsibility, Respect and Integrity. The staff will work hard to provide you with the best education we possibly can. You can help us by having your child attend school every day, work hard, become involved in school activities, and treat others as they would like to be treated.

Together, we will make Excelsior Middle School the best it can be!
