Educational Leadership Center Provides Linn-Mar with a New Central Office Space

A Snapshot Look:

The Learning Resource Center (LRC), located at the corner of 10th St. and 29th Ave. was the first building constructed as part of the Marion Rural Independent School, what is now the Linn-Mar Community School District. The building is centrally located on the Linn-Mar campus and has served many roles over the years: it’s been an elementary, middle and high school for the district, and most recently housed central office staff.

Beginning in the summer of 2024 the former LRC was modified to accommodate the needs of Venture Academics, ATLAS and Compass, and redesigned to provide learning space for more than 400 high school students.

The Linn-Mar central office staff formerly housed in the LRC shifted to a new administrative building near Excelsior Middle School. Named the Educational Leadership Center, this new space houses departments including the superintendent office, communications, teaching and learning, student support services, finance/payroll, human resources, and technology. The building also includes a new meeting space designed to help improve the district’s ability to live stream board meetings, and offers district staff more space for meetings and training sessions.

The new building was completed in Fall, 2024.

New building will provide a new space for meetings, training, and will house administrative staff.

The Board of Directors will use this space for monthly meetings, and the room can be reconfigured for training sessions as well.

The lobby is welcoming and demonstrates the district’s pride.

The main entry will be facing Excelsior Middle School.
