Wilkins Receives Marzano Level 1 Certification

The Linn-Mar Community School District is proud to announce that Wilkins Elementary School has achieved Level 1 certification in Marzano High-Reliability Schools™.

The Level 1 certification signifies that those learning centers have created a “Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture,” which is the foundation for every level that follows. Day-to-day school operations are addressed and evaluated in Level 1.

Linn-Mar Superintendent Shannon Bisgard said, “Congratulations to the staff at Wilkins for achieving this designation during this challenging year. Reaching this level of achievement requires a unified positive culture. The Wilkins team has shown that throughout the building.”

The high-reliability school (HRS) program was created by Marzano Resources to help transform schools into organizations that take proactive steps to ensure student success in all major areas of schooling, including curriculum development, instruction, assessment, student engagement, and personalized competency-based education.
