Wear Named Linn-Mar Associate Superintendent
The Linn-Mar Community School District is pleased to announce the selection of Nathan Wear as the next Associate Superintendent of the Linn-Mar Community School District. Wear’s contract is scheduled to be approved by Linn-Mar’s Board of Education during their regular meeting July 9.
“Linn-Mar is one of the premier school districts in the state of Iowa,” Wear said. “I am looking forward to working collaboratively with the community, staff, parents and students to continue to grow the educational programs. It is evident that great teaching and learning is happening each and every day across the district.”
Wear comes from Solon Community School District where he has been the High School Principal since August of 2011. Prior to Solon, he was the Elementary Principal at Fairfield Community School District for 6 years. In 2002, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Wartburg College in elementary education. He earned a Master of Arts degree in Education Administration from Texas State University in 2005 and an Advanced Studies Certificate in Superintendency from the University of Northern Iowa in 2011.
According to Superintendent Shannon Bisgard, “We are ecstatic to be able to hire Nathan as our next Associate Superintendent.” Bisgard added “Nathan was chosen from a very strong candidate pool due to his background as a building principal at both the elementary and the high school level. This unique variety of experiences, combined with his skill set as an instructional leader, make him the ideal choice for Linn-Mar. We are very excited to have Nathan join our leadership team.”
The District is pleased about the addition of Mr. Wear to the administrative team and looks forward to continuing in our mission to Inspire Learning, Unlock Potential, and Empower Achievement.
