Volunteer Honored
Al Alcock was presented with the Iowa Governor’s Volunteer award for contributing over 3000 volunteer hours over the last 10 years in the Linn-Mar Community School District. Al was a previous educator himself and is the proud parent of educators as well.
Al continues to make a difference in the lives of children as he volunteers in multiple classrooms throughout the district and helps students with math, literacy and just about any other project you can imagine. Students will tell you that “Grandpa Al, A-Squared or Grandpa Owl,”(depends on the classroom in which he’s volunteering) makes learning fun!
Al, Linn-Mar thanks you for your dedication to the district, our students and our teachers. You have helped to Inspire Learning. Unlock Potential & Empower Achievement.
