UPDATED: Attention Linn-Mar Parents – Please Read

Update: The Marion Police Department will be on the LMHS campus until the end of the school day at 3:30 pm. At the request of numerous parents, we have asked the MPD if their presence can be maintained for afternoon practices/activities.

We are aware of a recent social media post threatening the safety and security of some of our Linn-Mar High School students. At this time no other threats to our students, staff or buildings have been reported.

The Marion Police Department has been made aware of the posts and is working to identify the source. As a result of these posts, there will be an increased police presence at the high school to further ensure the safety of our students.

The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority at the Linn-Mar Community School District. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Matthew May, communications coordinator, at 447-3005.
