Track Teams Qualify for State

The Linn-Mar boys varsity track team proudly poses with the Class 4a qualifying meet champion banner after an impressive showing at Kingston Stadium.

The guys and girls will compete at the State tournament at Drake Stadium in Des Moines from May 19th through the 21st.

Linn-Mar boys qualified in the following events.

200 meter dash

1600 meter run

3200 meter run

110 meter hurdles

400 meter hurdles (two qualifiers)

4×100 meter relay

4×200 meter relay

4×400 meter relay

4×800 meter relay

Distance medley relay

High jump (two qualifiers)

Long jump

Discus

Shot put

4×100 shuttle relay

800 sprint relay

 

The girls qualified in 7 events and will also be at the state tournament
