Teachers Receive STEM Innovator Certification
Congratulations to Linn-Mar High School teachers Molly Crock, Chelsea Dill, Charlotte McDermott, Lisa Skilang, and Chelsi Snead. They have completed the University of Iowa’s STEM Innovator® Educator Certification program
These outstanding educators now have the skill to infuse innovation and the entrepreneurial mindset into their classroom. STEM Innovator® engages students in solving authentic, community-driven, real-world problems by working in multidisciplinary teams.
STEM Innovator® students learn to identify a problem of interest, verify and validate the problem through customer discovery, and establish and implement a solution. Along the way, students develop social-emotional learning skills, explore multiple careers, and gain the skills to be college and career ready by working with community partners.
These Linn-Mar instructors are part of the Venture Academics Program. It focuses on extending learning to real-world applications, problems, and solutions.
Congratulations to the outstanding teachers.
