Teacher Appreciation Week

The Linn-Mar Community School District has an incredible team of dedicated, passionate professionals who help our children discover, learn and grow each and every day.

We all remember a teacher who helped make our learning experience extra special. Nationally known educator, Dr. Rita Pierson, summed it up best. “Every child deserves a champion. An adult that will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be.”

Our team of over 550 Linn-Mar instructors make it look easy. They establish those educational connections, creating positive memories for our students that will last a lifetime.

While each school year provides its own unique challenges and opportunities, during this Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to recognize and give special thanks for everything our teachers do to Inspire learning, Unlock Potential, and Empower Achievement, at Linn-Mar every day.

At the April 19th meeting of the Linn-Mar School Board, Board President Brittania Morey presented the following proclamation in observance of  Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2-6, 2022)

Whereas, Linn-Mar teachers play a critical role in educating and
shaping the minds and lives of students; and
Whereas, Linn-Mar teachers are patient, hard-working,
dedicated, and educated professionals; and
Whereas, Linn-Mar teachers strive every day to Inspire Learning,
Unlock Potential, and Empower Achievement;
Therefore, I, Brittania Morey, serving as President of the
Linn-Mar Board of Education, proclaim May 2-6, 2022, as Teacher
Appreciation Week. I urge everyone to celebrate this week by
taking the time to recognize and acknowledge the lifelong impact
Linn-Mar teachers have on the lives of students.
