Supernova 2022 This Weekend at LMHS

Linn-Mar would like to extend a very warm and friendly welcome to Supernova 2022.
Supernova is Linn-Mar’s show choir extravaganza. For over two decades, it has proudly showcased the finest show choirs from across the midwest. This year’s Supernova will feature 15 groups and will be held Saturday, January 15th in the Linn-Mar High School Main Gym.

During the Supernova Daytime Competition, there will be three Scoring Judges. They will use an objective scoring system to determine placement in the Ninth Grade, Unisex, Prep and Open classifications.
There will be two clinic judges rotating to offer critiques to performing choirs in the day round immediately following their performances.
There will be a Band Judge during the Prep and Open competitions to select the Best Band Caption for those two divisions.
The scoring judges will select the Best Female and Best Male Soloists in the Prep and Open Class Divisions during the day round. An additional judge and one of the Clinic Judges will join the three Scoring Judges to evaluate the Saturday evening finals. All groups are eligible for finals.

Linn-Mar show choirs perform during the event but are not included in Supernova judging.

The event would not be possible without the parent committee and the 300 adult and well over 100 student volunteers.

OR Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the event (cash only), starting at 8:00 AM.
Tickets for all events are $15 per person. Tickets for seniors 65+ or children grades K-12 or younger are $10.
Tickets for the evening finals only are $10 per person.

Guests are asked to enter the parking lot from 10th street (near the electronic sign). The gym is near the back of the building.
