Student Demonstration Held

Today, students from Linn-Mar High School, Excelsior, and Oak Ridge Middle School initiated a voluntary walkout. The action was held to remember the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy and to raise awareness for stricter gun control to prevent future school shootings.

While we as a district prefer that our students are in class learning, we recognize the importance of this action and applaud their efforts to make their voices heard for social change.
