Sheryl Bass ISCA Counselor of the Year

Sheryl Bass has been recognized by the Iowa School Counselors Association (ISCA) as its School Counselor of the Year!

Sheryl has been at Linn-Mar High School since 2015. She worked as a 9th and 10th-grade counselor prior to moving to her current role as College/Career Transition Counselor in collaboration with Kirkwood Community College.

Mrs. Bass was recognized for her work in many areas, most notably in student career development

She graduated from The University of Iowa in 2012 with a MA in School Counseling. She holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Mt. Mercy University.

By winning the Iowa award, Mrs. Bass is now in the running for the National School Counselor of the Year through the American School Counselor Association.
