Schools Achieve High-Reliability Recognition
The Linn-Mar Community School District is proud to announce that Echo Hill and Westfield Elementary Schools have achieved Level 1 certification in Marzano High-Reliability Schools™.
The Level 1 certification signifies that those learning centers have created a “Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture,” which is the foundation for every level that follows. Day-to-day school operations are addressed and evaluated in Level 1.
In learning the news from the Marzano organization, Linn-Mar Superintendent Shannon Bisgard said, “To achieve Level 1 certification as a High-Reliability Schools organization requires a great deal of teamwork and a very positive culture in the building. Congratulations to the teams at Westfield and Echo Hill for achieving this designation during this especially challenging pandemic year.”
The high-reliability school (HRS) program was created by Marzano Resources to help transform schools into organizations that take proactive steps to ensure student success in all major areas of schooling, including curriculum development, instruction, assessment, student engagement, and personalized competency-based education.
