Satellite Voting Tonight at LM Stadium From 4:30-9:30
On Friday, September 7, all eligible voters in the district will have their first opportunity to vote on the upcoming $55 million bond referendum. Linn County election officials will operate a satellite voting station from 4:30 – 9:30 pm at Linn-Mar Stadium during our first home football game.
Voting is open to the public and admission is not required to vote. The district intends to use the funds generated by the bond to construct two new intermediate buildings for grades 5-6. The addition of the schools would provide desperately needed space to nine of the district’s schools. Enrollment has increased by 2,200 students since 2005 and Linn-Mar is projected to continue to grow by two to three percent each year.
The community is encouraged to learn more about the bond referendum and 10-year plan by visiting the bond vote web page. The official date for the special election is Tuesday, September 11th.
