Rodenkirk Named Boys Varsity Baseball Coach
Kyle Rodenkirk has been named the boys varsity baseball coach at Linn-Mar High School. He will assume responsibility for the coaching position starting the 2018 season.
“I look forward to this new opportunity with the Linn-Mar community for myself and my family,” he said. “With the facilities, youth feeder programs, and the support staff involved there is so much potential for the baseball program at Linn-Mar.”
Rodenkirk added that he is excited to get to work with the student athletes. “It will be fun to expand on the winning culture at Linn-Mar and to build new relationships with these athletes and their families.”
According to Athletic Director Dave Brown he is excited to have Rodenkirk join Linn-Mar saying the focus will be to “develop alignment in our baseball programs from the youth levels up through the varsity ranks,” Brown said. “His personality and experiences in coaching make him a great fit for the culture we have created in our athletic programs.”
As head varsity baseball coach at Jefferson High School, Rodenkirk coached the team to a record of 116-79 (.595). Rodenkirk has coached the team since 2012.
