Robotics Wins Regional Competition!

Congratulations to Linn-Mar Robotics for winning the 2019 Iowa Regional FIRST® Robotics Competition and in qualifying for the championship round!

Linn-Mar Robotics and Team 967 (The Iron Lions), competed against 48 teams from nine states who participated in the event, building robots to play this year’s space-themed game challenge, DESTINATION: DEEP SPACE, presented by the Boeing Company.

In addition,The Iron Lions’ Parker Houdeshell, was named a Dean’s List Finalist and will be considered for the prestigious Dean’ List Award at the FIRST Championships in Detroit this April.  The Dean’s List Award recognizes outstanding student leaders who are positively impacting their community, growing interest in STEM, improving their technical expertise and modeling the FIRST Core Values.

With the win, the team qualifies to attend the FIRST Championships in Detroit to compete against hundreds of the best teams in the world in late April.
