Return to Learn Plan 4th Quarter Update
The pandemic finish line is in sight, and — as with any marathon — we need to stay the course and keep up our stamina in order to safely put this test of endurance behind us.
Linn-Mar will continue to follow CDC guidelines and consult with local health guidelines in determining our next steps as we head into the final leg of the 2020-2021 school year. For now, here are the latest COVID-19-related developments and updates:
Are face masks still required in schools, on buses?
Yes. Face masks will continue to be required in schools, on buses, even for those who have received a vaccination for the novel coronavirus.
Will there be changes in the classroom?
The district will follow updated guidance from the CDC, which reduces social distancing for students to three feet. We will continue to maintain other safety protocols we have in place. Our custodial staff will also maintain its established Co-Vid mitigation measures.
Will In-person meetings be allowed?
Face-to-face parent meetings are an option for IEP meetings and individual conferences, etc. with administrator approval.
Will spectator rules change for sports?
Our Athletic Department, in cooperation with the Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, are providing updated guidance for spectators for all spring sports.
Will summer camps be held?
Yes, Sports, music camps and swimming lessons will be offered this summer.
