Open House Dates for the 2024-25 School Year
Our Linn-Mar staff are excited to welcome students to the start of the new academic year! Below is a summary of the open house dates for each building: parents should watch for an email from their student’s building with additional details on these events.
New this year: all students eligible for district transportation who are attending these events will be able to pick up their 2024-25 bus passes during their building’s open house events.
Linn-Mar High School
Starting Tuesday, August 6– Linn-Mar High School parents and students are invited to walk the building to find classrooms and other building locations between 9 a.m. – 3:00 p.m on weekdays beginning Tuesday, August 6. Please use door #3 (north side of the building) and door #13 (south side of the building) during these times. Student ambassadors will be available to help with directions and individual tours starting Thursday, August 8.
Monday, August 19– High School parent meeting for incoming 9th grade students from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
Middle Schools
Tuesday, August 20– Both of the Linn-Mar middle schools will host meet and greet and orientation meetings.
Excelsior
7th grade meet/greet and orientation for students— 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m and noon-1:30 p.m.
8th grade open house for students and families— 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Oak Ridge
7th grade orientation for students— section 7A from 8:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. and section 7B from 11:45 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.
7th & 8th grade open house for students and families— 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Intermediate Schools
Parents and students are invited to meet their teachers and tour the intermediate buildings during the dates and times below:
Tuesday, August 20
Hazel Point
5th and 6th grade open house for families and students — 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, August 22
Boulder Peak
5th and 6th grade open house for families and students — 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Preschool and Elementary Schools
Thursday, August 22– All Linn-Mar elementary buildings will host open houses and invite parents and preK-4th grade students to their buildings from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
