Novak Notes Selected to Perform at the Iowa Choral Showcase

The 2nd Annual Iowa Choral Showcase will take place on Wednesday, April 18 at 6:00 p.m. at the University of Iowa Voxman School of Music Concert Hall.
Six choirs were selected through a blind audition process with five judges independently scoring each choir.
Congratulations to the following choirs selected to perform:
Novak Elementary School – Novak Notes (children’s and community youth), Jennifer Walker, conductor
Des Moines Christian High School – Victory Chamber Choir (2A classification), Elaine Hagenberg, conductor
Solon High School – Bella Voce (3A classification), Joel Foreman, conductor
Ankeny High School – Concert Choir (4A classification), Ben Walters, conductor
Pleasant Valley High School – Chamber Choir (4A classification), Meg Byrne, conductor
Vocal Artists of Iowa (adult community chorus), David Haas, conductor
In all, 26 choirs submitted recordings for this event.
