New Associate AD at LMHS
Jay Lehman has been named the new Associate Athletic Director at Linn-Mar High School. He will fill the role formerly held by Tonya Moe, who was named Linn-Mar High School Athletic Director in March.
“I am excited to add Jay Lehman to our athletic department as Associate Athletic Director. Jay has proven to be a loyal district employee and he has prepared himself for this opportunity.”, said Moe. She went on to add, “Jay has been a teacher, coach, and administrator in our district over the years. These positions have allowed him to get to know our culture, our athletic programs, and our student-athletes. I have no doubt we will work well together and continue to better our culture and keep providing opportunities for our student-athletes as well as hire the best coaches to lead our programs.”
Mr. Lehman shared his enthusiasm for his new opportunity, “I am excited to start my role as Linn- Mar’s Associate Athletic Director. I am extremely grateful to the Linn-Mar community, Dr. Jeff Gustason, and Tonya Moe for giving me the opportunity to continue to grow my relationships and provide positive leadership within our athletic programs. During my time at Linn-Mar, I have developed a great passion for our athletic programs, and I want to help continue to grow the programs with our parents/guardians, administrators, coaches, and teachers. My goal is to provide a positive experience for the student-athletes and with great coaches and mentors to provide positive role models to help them succeed in life. I want to thank the Linn-Mar nation again, for allowing me this opportunity. Go Lions!”
Mr. Lehman is currently a physical education teacher and athletic director at Oak Ridge Middle School. He will officially begin his new role at the High School on July 1st. Congratulations, Jay!
