Molly Mulherin Receives A+ for Education

It’s always a challenge to keep a secret, but the staff at Linn Grove Elementary did just that for a great cause.

Building principal Chad Buchholz found out that Molly Mulherin had been selected to receive the A+ for Education award.

The award, presented by KCRG-TV 9, recognizes outstanding educators in eastern Iowa.

The school created banners and planned a surprise assembly for Molly the morning that the television crew came to present the award.

4th and 5th grade students that Molly closely works with, who attended the event, said she seemed “very surprised”.

Ms. Mulherin was honored with a plaque and $250 for her dedication to education.
