Milk and Cookies Story Time at Novak

Students and their families gathered together at Novak Elementary to enjoy “Milk and Cookies Story Time” with Mrs. Debra Barry.

Students were able to wear their pajamas and bring a favorite stuffed animal and blanket. Barry, Teacher Leadership Program Coordinator and published author, read two stories to the students while parents were shown a presentation on how they can help their children at home with reading.

After story time, the students joined their parents while Mrs. Barry conducted a character activity with the group. At the end of the evening, each student was given a literacy game and a free book!
