Marching Lions Perform Well at Marion Invitational

The Linn-Mar Marching Lions were awarded 1st place in Class 4A last Saturday at the Marion Marching Band Invitational.

In addition, the group received caption awards for “Best Drum Majors”, “Best Color Guard”, “Best Percussion”, and “Best Winds”.

More importantly, the Linn-Mar band directors were impressed with the sportsmanship that the LMHS students displayed on Saturday night by cheering on the other participating bands and accepting the placements with humility.

Earlier in the day, the Linn-Mar Marching Lions hosted 16 bands and thousands of people at the Linn-Mar Marching Band Festival at Linn-Mar Stadium.
