Mansoor Appointed to Linn-Mar Board of Directors
Midhat Mansoor was sworn in as a member of the Linn-Mar Board of Education during the board’s October 7, 2024 board meeting.
Mansoor has been a visible partner with the Linn-Mar Community School District. She has volunteered in a variety of capacities starting as a Junior Achievement volunteer at Bowman Woods Elementary and later as a Steam ON FIRST® LEGO® League Coach. She also has served as the district’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee chair and as co-lead for the Marion Alliance for Racial Equity (M.A.R.E) Education Committee. Professionally, Mansoor is a financial planning analyst with Collins Aerospace. Her daughter was a 2024 Linn-Mar graduate.
Mansoor commented, “Serving on the Linn-Mar school board will provide me with an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the continued growth and success of our district. I am committed to advocating for policies and initiatives that ensure all students have access to high-quality education and opportunities for success. I am committed to fostering collaboration among stakeholders, advocating for equity and inclusivity, and implementing policies that prioritize the needs of our students and support the professional growth of our educators.

The oath of office was administered by Board Secretary Jon Galbriath and Mansoor accepted the position effective immediately. Mansoor will fill the absence on the board that was created when Rachel Wall stepped down from her position in September. The appointment will continue through the school board elections in November, 2025.
