LMHS Track & Field Break Records at State!

For the 4th consecutive year, The Linn-Mar Girls Track team finished in the top 5 at the State Tournament. Payton Wensel set a new state meet record and was the State Champion in the 400m, with a time of 54.84. She took second in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 1:02:27.

Jill Bennett came in 5th in the 100m, with a time of 12.62. Skyler Presler took second in the High Jump, at 5’4”. Ariana Rolle took 7th in the Long Jump, at 16’ 11.75”. In the Sprint Medley Relay, the team of Ariana Rolle, Olivia Hubler, Jill Bennett and Payton Wensel came in second with a time of 1:46:03 setting a new Linn-Mar record.

The girls team finished 4th overall with 44 points.

For the guys…
Ryan Murphy won the 1600 with a time of 4:15.36. He also took the top spot in the 3200, at 9:09.28
Zeal Baker finished 5th in the 110 hurdles. Our guys took second in the Shuttle Hurdle Relay. Riley Higgins came in 4th in Discus. Nick House took 8th in the 400.

The boys track team tied for 7th overall.
