LMHS Teachers Meet with Local Employers

Helping students identify and pursue the futures they want.

That was focus of a tour taken by Linn-Mar High School instructors during Monday’s staff development day.

The tour was conducted in cooperation with the Marion Economic Development Corporation (MEDCO).

The teachers toured Marion Process Solutions, Hupp Electric Motors, Legacy Manufacturing and the Marion Airport.

Mark Hutcheson. Linn-Mar Director of High School Teaching and Learning said,“The tour was an opportunity for teachers to experience the application of their disciplines, and allow connections of content to areas they may not have previously considered.”

Linn-Mar would like to thank everyone who helped make the tour a success.

It provided our high school teachers a chance to learn more about where we live, what’s going on around us, and the skills local employers are seeking for the next generation of employees.
