LMHS Students Recognized in Scholastic Competition

Three Linn-Mar High School students have earned regional awards in the Scholastic Art and Writing competition.

Junior Matthew Behnke received the Gold Key award for his Critical Essay titled “Who is in the Driver’s Seat.” His essay will advance to the national level for further judging.

Freshman Elizabeth Pauly earned two Silver Key awards for her art. One award for painting, another for drawing and illustration.

Sarah Velazquez received Honorable Mention for her Digital Art.

All three students will be invited to the Scholastic Celebration in Three Acts, to be held at the Iowa Memorial Union on Saturday, March 10th.
