LMHS Selects New Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach
Nate Sanderson has been chosen as the New Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach at Linn-Mar High School.
Pending approval by the Linn-Mar School Board, Sanderson will assume responsibility for the coaching position starting the 2017-18 season.
“Coach Sanderson brings a wealth of basketball knowledge and experience to our basketball program including a very successful track record. His passion and enthusiasm for the game of basketball is contagious. Our student-athletes are fortunate to have him as their head coach.” said Linn-Mar Associate Athletic Director Tonya Moe.
“I am excited about the opportunity to join the Linn Mar girls basketball program,” said Nate Sanderson, incoming coach. “Leaving Springville was one of the most emotional things I have ever done, but Linn Mar offers a unique opportunity to have a positive impact on a much larger scale. I look forward to serving the coaches and players throughout the Linn Mar girls basketball program, to build a competitive program that makes a positive difference in the wider community. I can’t wait to get started!”
As Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach at Springville High School, Sanderson coached the Orioles to State Championship titles the last two seasons.
He replaces Jamie Brandt, who accepted the Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach position at the new Liberty High School in North Liberty, Iowa.
