LMHS Instructor Chosen to Present at National Psychology Conference
Linn-Mar High School Social Students teacher and Psychology Instructor Jeanne Turner has been chosen to be a presenter at the 2020 American Psychological Association(APA)/Clark University Workshop for High School Teachers.
The workshop, held each summer in Worcester, Massachusetts, is a nationally recognized professional development experience for high school teachers of psychology.
Clark University, the host of the event, was the birthplace of APA in 1892 and this workshop is one of many outstanding contributions the university has made to the field of psychology.
The workshop, now in its 15th year, grew out of the vision and generosity of Lee Gurel, PhD, a long-time APA member, and Clark University alumnus. As mentioned on the Clark University website, Gurel “believes not only in the importance of education in helping students achieve their goals but also in the influence and inspiration teachers can have on their students.”
We couldn’t agree more.
Congratulations, Jeanne for the opportunity to share your knowledge with your peers. Your skills and techniques benefit our Linn-Mar students every day!
