LMHS’ Hanson Honored With Secondary Teacher of the Year Award

Dr. John Hanson of Linn-Mar High School was the recipient of The Secondary Teacher of the Year Award recently at the Iowa Council of Social Studies. ICSS stated their appreciation for Hanson’s leadership, innovative teaching practices, and his tireless effort to promote social studies. His dedication to the students of Iowa and to the teaching profession is greatly appreciated.

Recipients of the Iowa Social Studies Teacher of the Year award will be recognized with an award and a one-year paid membership to the National Council for the Social Studies and the Iowa Council for the Social Studies. Winners also have the option to be nominated for the NCSS TEacher of the Year Award.
