LMHS Counselor Receives Special Recognition
The Iowa Association for College Admission Counseling (Iowa ACAC) has named Linn-Mar’s Sheryl Cline, Counselor of the Year!
Ms. Cline is a counselor for 9th and 10th grade students at Linn-Mar High School. In announcing the award, the Iowa ACAC acknowledged several attributes included in her nomination.
“Sheryl’s work demonstrates passion and dedication. She models great leadership and collaboration and does what school counselors should be doing. Her communication is helpful and very consistent. She has been a constant as one of the best professionals in the state of Iowa at the high school and college arena.”
The Iowa ACAC develops and expands relationships between secondary schools, two-and four-year colleges, universities, other postsecondary educational institutions, and related educational agencies.
The organization works to evaluate the range of influences on a student’s transition from secondary school to further education, without regard to race, creed, gender, political affiliation, national origin, or disability.
