Little Lions Discover Thanksgiving Dinner Takes a Lot of Work
Anyone preparing a traditional Thanksgiving feast knows it’s not a simple task. Little Lions in Miss Melissa’s class at Linn Grove Elementary were each given “a job” to help make their “thanksgiving feast” a success.
The students had to make sure there were enough chairs in place at the long dinner table. They had to ensure the tablecloths were on the table in the right direction. Then their handcrafted individualized placemats were put in place. Finally, the students had to make sure that everyone had a plate, napkin, fork, and spoon.
After all that work, the kids sat down for the meal.
Adult staff and volunteers helped distribute the chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, corn, a dinner roll, a juice box, and a special pumpkin dessert.
By the reaction of the preschoolers, it was a fabulous feast and well worth all the work to get the table ready!
