Linn-Mar to Follow New State Mask Requirements
Late Wednesday night (5/19/21) the Iowa Legislature passed House File 847 and the governor quickly signed it into law. It prohibits Iowa school districts from requiring the use of face masks effective immediately. The Linn-Mar Community School District will abide by the governor’s directive and allow students to attend classes without masks.
Since a large number of our students remain unvaccinated due to age restrictions, we do encourage students and staff to continue wearing masks for the remainder of the school year as much as possible. We also remind everyone to maintain other safety protocols including social distancing and good hand hygiene.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we work together to successfully wrap-up the 2020-21 school year.
We are Linn-Mar!
