Linn-Mar Announces Requests for Proposals for Wraparound Preschool Care
Linn-Mar Community School District (LMCSD) is committed to partnering with the community to provide wraparound preschool care. LMCSD is planning to establish an interagency agreement with a community partner or organization to provide these preschool daycare services at Linn Grove Elementary School for the 2025-26 school year. LMCSD is seeking proposals from qualified partners to provide these services, and intends to select one proposer for this partnership.

Linn-Mar Survey: Interest in Before and After School Daycare for Preschool

Linn-Mar Community School District is asking parents of preschool-age students about their interest in a new potential initiative.
Linn-Mar offers free preschool for children who turn four years of age on or before September 15th of each school year. Both morning and afternoon half-day sessions are offered through the Linn-Mar Little Lions preschool program in 4 of our 7 elementary buildings. Next year, based on the interest of our families, the district may offer on-site daycare before and after school at one preschool site for a limited number of Little Lions preschool families for the 2025-26 school year. If offered, daycare would be available at Linn Grove Elementary for 20 families in this first year, with the district then evaluating the program as we look at potentially offering it again in the future.
To be clear, Little Lions preschool has been and will continue to be offered at no cost: if the district elected to offer wraparound care, this daycare option would be available at one preschool site by a contracted provider for an additional fee.
