Linn-Mar Robotics Team Collects 1500 Pounds of Food
The Linn-Mar High School Robotics team hosted a Drive-Thru Food Drive to benefit the Linn-Mar Pride Pantry. Many families dropped off a variety of food items outside LMHS and all donations went to the Linn-Mar Pride Pantry which provides direct support for food-insecure Linn-Mar families.
This drive-thru food drive produced 1,500 pounds of food – which will last about 4-5 months. Last February, the Linn-Mar Student Council raised more than 1,200 pounds of food. Thank you to all the student clubs and families from throughout the community who donated and helped keep the pantry full this year.
About the Pride Panty:
LMHS offers a High School Food Pantry called “Pride Pantry” to help students in temporary need. It is supported entirely by donations. The Pride Pantry distributes roughly 200 backpack bags of food per school year, with the need rising. The Pride Pantry also helps individual students on a walk-in basis.
