Donations of sanitizer are being delivered to Alburnett, Anamosa, Belle Plaine, Benton Community, Cedar Rapids Community School District, College Community (Prairie), English Valleys, Highland, HLV, Iowa Valley, Linn-Mar, Lone Tree, Marion, Mid-Prairie, Midland, Monticello, Mount Vernon, North Cedar, North Linn, Olin, Washington, Williamsburg, and Xavier Catholic Schools.

Cedar Ridge began producing and donating several thousand bottles of hand sanitizer throughout the state in response to the COVID-19 pandemic starting in March. Throughout the fall and winter of 2020, Cedar Ridge donated $25,000 of bulk sanitizer packages to local schools and nonprofits in the area.

This month the donations expanded to include additional school districts through a partnership with Grant Wood Area Education Agency. “Grant Wood AEA has delivery vans that regularly distribute materials to schools across our seven-county service area,” says John Speer, Grant Wood AEA’s Chief Administrator. “It only made sense that we’d help distribute much-needed sanitizer to our school districts to our regularly scheduled trips. When Cedar Ridge approached us about partnering with them on this initiative, we were eager to help out.”
