Linn-Mar Names New Head Football Coach
Linn-Mar High School welcomes Tim Lovell as its new Head Football Coach (pending board approval). Coach Lovell has been the Head Football Coach at Marion High School since 2016. Prior to taking the job at Marion, Coach Lovell was an assistant football coach at Linn-Mar High School from 2009-2015. Prior to coaching at Linn-Mar, Coach Lovell had been an assistant football coach at Cornell College and Lake Forest College (IL).
Athletic Director David Brown says “Coach Lovell’s passion and philosophy as a coach work hand in hand with the values we have identified for the future of the Linn-Mar Football Program. He will be a great leader in our efforts to create a streamlined program for our kids from youth football leagues, through our middle schools, and into the high school program.”
Coach Tim Lovell “I’m humbled for the opportunity to take over the reins of the Linn-Mar Football Program. It is bittersweet for me as I have developed great relationships with the Marion community and all the athletes, families, school administration, and staff. After talking with my family and close friends I am excited at the opportunity to coach at Linn-Mar while being able to keep the same relationships I have developed along my own personal coaching path. I am excited for the challenge and looking forward to meeting the players and staff at Linn-Mar so that we can begin preparing for the 2021 season!”
