Linn-Mar Celebrates America Reads Day

Linn-Mar would like to thank the hundreds of volunteers who took part in America Reads Day 2022. This year, hundreds of readers took part in reading sessions at our seven elementary schools!

High school students, parents, grandparents, city officials, professional athletes, and district representatives took time out of their day to share a story with our elementary students.

America Reads is a national challenge to improve literacy among elementary-age children. Locally, it is a two-day, joint event with Marion Independent, Cedar Rapids CSD, College Community, and Xavier Catholic
