The Linn-Mar Boys Swim Team is Going to State

The Linn-Mar Aquatic Center hosted nine area schools in district competition last Saturday.
Our guys took second overall at that event.

Linn-Mar Senior Matt Peng was voted District Swimmer of the Year!
Several members of our team had times at the district event that were fast enough to qualify for state.

They include: Matt Peng in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly, Nick Cavanah in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke, Brycen Snell in the 100 freestyle and the 200 freestyle.
The team also qualified in the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

The Iowa High School Athletic Association Boys’ State High School Swimming Meet is scheduled for Saturday, February 10,  at 12:30 PM at the University of Iowa’s Campus Recreation and Wellness Center (CRWC).

General admission tickets are $10.00 each and will be available for sale the day of the meet at the CRWC.
