Laura Thomas Appointed to School Board

Congratulations to Laura Thomas. Laura was sworn in to fill a vacancy on the Linn-Mar Board of Directors. The oath of office was administered by Board Secretary Jon Galbraith at the board’s February 26th meeting.

Thomas is a past member of the Area Substance Abuse Council Board and was also a member of the Program Support Grant Committee for the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation.

“My heart is in public service,” said Thomas. “I’m committed to earning the public’s trust while making very difficult decisions and updating policy to comply with changes to state law.”

Thomas will remain on the school board through the completion of the term which expires in November 2025.
