Large Group Contest Speech Going to State

Contest Speech students from 11 groups will represent Linn-Mar at the Iowa High School Speech Association Large Group Competition.

The team took top honors at district contests in Monticello and at Cedar Rapids Washington.

The varsity performances chosen to advance to state include: One Act Play, Reader’s Theatre, Choral Reading, Two Ensemble Acting entries, Musical Theatre, Two Group Mimes and a Solo Mime.

The freshmen advance in Choral Reading and Radio Broadcasting.

Our team will go up against approximately 80 area schools during the state contest at Cedar Rapids Kennedy on Saturday, February 2nd.
