Jennifer Hammes Named KDAT Top Teacher of the Week

Jen Hammes, a 4th Grade Teacher at Linn Grove Elementary, was recently named Top Teacher of the Week by 104.5 KDAT. Ms. Hammes was nominated by Jessica Jones, who said, “In addition to my three kids, I have custody of my 11-year old nephew and 1-year-old niece. Linn Grove has been a tremendous help for me. My nephew’s 4th grade teacher has helped mentor him outside of school and helped with his needs, such as school supplies and Halloween costumes.”

“Ms. Hammes and her brother, a Marion police officer, have been such a blessing to our family,” Jones said. “That extra love and attention has helped him out in a way they could never understand. He is in 5th grade and Ms. Hammes continues to mentor him. Ms. Hammes is a blessing to Linn Grove and to our family.”

Ms. Hammes’ dedication and service to Linn Grove is greatly appreciated. She was awarded a $25 Half-Price Books gift card and a delicious pie from Kathy’s Pies.
