Jazz Group Advances to Iowa Jazz Championships

The Colton Center Jazz Ensemble earned a 1st place finish at the NEIBA Jazz Festival in Waterloo. Tejas Gururaja earned an Honorable mention solo award for violin.

They earned an automatic invitation to perform at the Iowa Jazz Championships, Tuesday, April 4th at Stephens Auditorium in Ames.

They will perform at 12:45 in a showcase of fifteen Class 4A jazz bands from across the state.
