Important: Student Safety and Emergency Notifications

In order to ensure the safety and security of our students, — and at the request of the Marion Police Department — all Linn-Mar Schools followed safety procedures by going into a lock-out from approximately 12:55 – 1:15 pm. During a lock-out, all exterior doors are locked and no one is let in.

We anticipate a statement from the Marion Police Department Monday afternoon.

In an attempt to get word of the lock-out as fast as possible, social media posts followed an emergency text notification.

The safety of our students is our highest priority. We also understand how important it is to get information that we are able to share out as soon as possible.

The district will continue to do everything possible to ensure our kids are safe and secure at school.
