IHSSA Speech Judge Certification Session TONIGHT at LMHS

Parents & Teachers! If you were involved in Contest Speech in High School, you remember the role the judges played in fine-tuning your public speaking skills.

Now is your chance to give back to the next generation of young communicators.

Linn-Mar, in cooperation with the Iowa High School Speech Association (IHSSA),  will host a judge’s certification session Wednesday, October 11th at 7 PM in the Lecture Hall at the High School.

Cost for certification is $5.00. The session will last approximately one and a half hours.

Upon successful completion of the short exam, new judges will be added to the list for consideration at state level contests across Iowa.

Participants are asked to park in the 10th street lot near the auditorium and enter the building through Door 16.

Linn-Mar High School happens to be the site of this year’s State Large Group Speech Contest.  It will take place Saturday, February 3rd, 2018.
