Honoring our Veterans

Fourth graders at Bowman Woods Elementary sang the national anthem as part of the Veterans Day assembly at the school.  It was one of several assemblies held throughout the district.

Veterans from American Legion Post 298 were the honored guests for the event. Mr. Kevin Makinster, a Linn-Mar Band Instructor, played military anthems and taps.

The event concluded with a slideshow of servicemen and women with connections to Bowman Woods students, teachers, and staff.
