Future Doctors Learn About the Profession First Hand
Dr. Michael Telisak, an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist at PCI, answered questions from dozens of students at a session at the High School’s new College and Career Center.
Dr. Telisak talked about the steps he took to become a doctor, through general requirements, medical programs and residency. His visit was coordinated by the Workplace Learning Connection, a metro area group based at Kirkwood Community College that works to link kids and careers.
Students who indicate an interest in a particular career field are invited to take advantage of these “in person” opportunities by the LMHS Guidance Office.
