Friendly Animals at the Westfield Kindergarten Zoo
The Westfield kindergarteners opened their zoo to the “older” kids, teachers, parents, and grandparents.
Guests were provided with “zoo money” they could use to “buy” admission tickets and “purchase” hand-drawn postcards or popcorn and lemonade at the concession stands.
The students worked to design their “attire”. Some played the role of zoo animals and provided guests with their extensive knowledge of their species. Others worked to assist the public as they visited the various kindergarten classrooms that were set up to “house” different categories of animals.
